The Centro Ricerche Archeologiche e Scavi di Torino per il Medio Oriente e l'Asia does share the concern expressed by many Institutions for intentional targeting of Iranian cultural heritage sites and condemns it in unequivocal terms. The 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and ratifications prohibit the intentional destruction of cultural heritage during armed conflict. The CRAST calls upon International Institutions to protect civilians and cultural heritage in Iran and all over the world. The CRAST stands with other professional societies concerned about the preservation of cultural heritage in Iran.
