Payravi Conference on Ancient Iranian History IV: Contextualizing Iranian History: The Arsacids (ca. 250 BC – 224 AD)

On February 28, 2022 Professors C. Lippolis and V. Messina will participate in the conference “Contextualizing Iranian History: The Arsacids”, organized by T. Daryaee, M. Canepa, and R. Rollinger. The event will take place between February 28 and March 2, 2022 at the Irvine’s Jordan Center for Persian Studies (University of California, Los Angeles) and will focus on the main archaeological, historical, numismatic and religious topics concerning the Arsacid Empire. Professors Lippolis and Messina will present two speeches entitled “The Archaeological Sources – Mesopotamia and the West” (C. Lippolis) and “Residences – Royal and Regional”. (V. Messina).
The event will be held in-person with several options to participate remotely (the livestream on the UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture‘s FB page).
