Exhibition “Sulle sponde del Tigri. Suggestioni dalle collezioni archeologiche del MAO: Seleucia e Coche”

On Saturday, the 21st of September 2019, the exhibition “Sulle sponde del Tigri. Suggestioni dalle collezioni archeologiche del MAO: Seleucia e Coche", dedicated to the collection of archaeological finds from the excavations conducted since 1964 by the Centro Ricerche Archeologiche e Scavi di Torino at the Mesopotamian capitals Seleucia and Coche and stored  in the museum of Turin, opens to the public. This exhibit, developed in the frame of the project Collezioni (in)visibili, represents an extraordinary opportunity for bringing to the knowledge of a large audience the history of these cities, and the history of the Turin researchers who discovered them.

Conference “Preliminary results of the 2016-2017 MI.ENLIL-ARAKHTUM survey”

On Tuesday, the 5th of March 2019, at 2.00 pm, the conference of Professor Abbas Ali al-Hussainy from the University of Qadisiyah took place in Palazzo Nuovo (ex sala lauree di Lettere, via S. Ottavio 20, Turin). The topic of the lecture was the presentation of the preliminary results of the archaeological survey carried out by Professor Hussainy in the al-Qadisiyah region in southern Iraq.
